Looking for better leash manners, a more reliable recall, improved obedience, and better communication with your dog? Our Denali Mountain Day School is an intensive six-week dog training program designed to build the skills you and your dog need for everyday life.
Your dog attends school three days per week for six weeks, working with our professional Tucson dog trainers through multiple structured training sessions. We use fun, rewarding, and engaging training exercises to build a strong foundation while gradually introducing moderate distractions.
What Will My Dog Learn?
Every dog receives a training plan based on their individual needs and current skill level. Throughout the Denali Mountain Day School program, we focus on practical obedience and real-world skills, including:
Leash manners and loose-leash walking
Recall and coming when called
Basic and core obedience skills
Impulse control
Engagement and focus around distractions
General household and public manners
Handler communication
Building confidence and a strong training foundation
Our goal isn't just for your dog to perform skills for our trainers. We want to give you the knowledge and tools to maintain those behaviors and continue progressing together after graduation. Can This Program Help With Leash Reactivity? The Denali Mountain Day School may be appropriate for dogs displaying mild leash reactivity. Training can focus on improving engagement, communication, obedience, and the dog's ability to work around manageable distractions. This program is not appropriate for dogs with severe reactivity or aggression. Dogs experiencing more significant behavioral concerns may require a different training program or individual evaluation so we can determine the safest and most appropriate training plan.

What's Included?
6 Weeks of Day Training
Your dog attends Day School 3 days per week for 6 weeks, providing consistent opportunities to learn, practice, and strengthen new skills.
6 Group Training Classes
Work directly with our trainers so you can learn how to communicate with your dog, practice their new skills, and continue their progress at home.
Personalized Training Plan & Homework
Training is tailored to your dog's needs, with homework designed to help transfer what your dog learns at Day School into everyday life.
Training Collar
An appropriate training collar is included as part of the program.
Lifetime Phone & Email Training Support
Graduation doesn't mean you're on your own. Our training staff provides lifetime phone and email support to help you maintain your dog's training and navigate questions along the way.
Enrollment Requirements
To participate in Denali Mountain Day School, dogs must be fully vaccinated with current:
DAPP • Rabies • Bordetella • Leptospirosis
A clean fecal test completed within 10 days of the start of school is also required.

Training doesn't have to stop when Day School ends! Graduates are eligible for our discounted maintenance training packages, designed to keep skills sharp and provide continued opportunities for training, enrichment, and activity. We also offer swimming and hiking combination add-ons for eligible graduates enrolled in a maintenance package—giving your dog even more ways to stay physically active, mentally engaged, and connected with their training.

At the end of each day, they head home with you so you can continue enjoying your dog while being part of their training journey.

Your dog trains with our experienced staff during the day and returns home with you every evening. This is the dog Pikes Peak was designed for. Pikes Peak is not primarily a behavior-modification program and may not be appropriate for dogs with significant reactivity, aggression, fear, or other behavioral concerns. Dogs with behavioral concerns may be considered on a case-by-case basis following an evaluation. Our training team can help determine which Elevate training program is the safest and most appropriate fit for you and your dog.
